How puzzles work
Every puzzle on Fun Puzzles is generated and solved entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We have no accounts, no passwords, and no sign-up. The one exception is the optional daily leaderboard, described below.
Local progress storage
Your progress on today’s puzzle (and whether you’ve completed it) is saved using your browser’s local storage, on your device only. It’s automatically superseded once a new day’s puzzle is generated.
Daily leaderboard
Some puzzles offer an optional daily leaderboard. If you choose to join one, we generate a random, anonymous ID for your browser (no personal information) and store it along with the nickname you pick and your best score for that puzzle that day. Nicknames are filtered for profanity; we don’t verify who picked them. Your IP address is briefly logged server-side purely to prevent spam and is not tied to your leaderboard entry or retained long-term. Leaderboard participation is entirely optional. Puzzles are fully playable, and your local progress is fully saved, without ever joining one.
